This site is a work in progress.  Eventually I am hoping to add many more pictures, family updates, etc. and to use it as a place for us to keep in touch, share our likes and dislikes, announce any news, and get to know each other even better.  Feel free to send me any suggestions as to content!

Update 6/11/07

I sent out an email yesterday asking for input, feedback, etc.  I am going to add to this page as I get responses.  So - first come first share! 

1.  RaeAnne Canavan

     -Favorite Authors - Maeve Binchy, Catherine Cookson, Dorothy Garlock, Rosmund Pilcher, and any novels about Ireland or Scotland.

     -Favorite Musicians - Johnny Cash, Elvis, anyone from the 50's, 60's & 70's

     -Favorite Actor - Hugh Grant, Tom Cruise, Julie Roberts, Andy Griffith

     -Collections - swans or anything from Ireland

     -Career - Owns a hair salon and floral shop, work at both & for "fun" works as event planner and waitress. 

     -Plans for the Future - Finish 6-bedroom "lodge" in Yaak, Mt & have a primitive getaway place for people to come to.

     -Family update - Son Jeff just bought a home in Kalispell.  Son Greg just got back from tour of duty through Spain, Lebanon & four other countries.  (He has been in 23 countries now & leaves again in the next couple of weeks.)  He is in the anti-terrorism security unit in the Marines.  Husband Dan works for a cable company recently purchased by Time Warner; hopes to retire in June.

     -Interesting Tidbit - Dan is an avid biker (motorcycles) & was on a 5-day "run" through Montana & N Dakota recently.  He met a man who said he used to be from Libby - turned out he was Jeff Whitmarsh, son of Jack!  Small world...

2.  Susan Whitmarsh (the original)

     -Favorite Authors - Dick Francis, Frank Herbert, John Sandford, Dean Koontz, Jonathon Kellerman, Patricia Cornwell (her early books - NOT the more recent ones.)

     -Favorite Musicians - Josh Groban, Jamie Cullum, Phillips Craig & Dean, Loreena McKennit, Mandy Patinkin

     -Favorite Actors - Tom Hanks, Matthew McConoughy (sp?), Meg Ryan, Hugh Laurie, Johnny Depp

     -Collections - postcards, stamps, coins, books (you can never have too many!)

     -Career - Operations Manager of a document managment company - scanning, digital conversions, as well as some IT work.  Anything to do with computers!

  3.  Dan Whitmarsh

     -Favorite Authors - Stephen Lawhead, Chaim  Potok, John Irving, Luci Shaw 

     -Favorite Musicians - Alison Krauss and Union Station, The Infamous Stringdusters, Counting Crows, Bruce Springsteen "The Seeger Sessions," Mindy Smith, Leigh Nash, Andrew Peterson, Norah Jones

     -Favorite Movies - Stranger than Fiction, To End All Wars, The Princess Bride, Lagaan, Pan's Labyrinth, Veer-Zaara, Nacho Libre

     -Career - I'm a pastor at a Church on the Key Peninsula.  

     -Additions requested? - Other than Sledge Hammer, no.
